Developing Puppies ~ Podcast Interview with Ike Todd

Listen to the interview: SA_Podcast12_Ike Todd

Ike grew up in Bozeman, Montana. He began training and competing with bird dogs at an early age and continued his involvement while attending Montana State College.

In 2002 Ike took the great opportunity of working with and learning from Hall of Famer, Ferrel Miller. Continuing on with Kentucky field trialers, Gary Lester and Joe Don House, Ike scouted and handled for the duo, making a name for himself in field trials across the country. Ike’s name is linked to the success of countless champions including Lester’s Snowatch, House’s River Fever, Lester’s Storm, Lester’s Tom Cruise, Miller’s Happy Jack, and many many more.

Ike trained and scouted Lester’s Snowatch to his National Championship win in 2009 and to the Purina Top Field Trial Bird Dog Award for 2008-2009.

In the spring of 2010 Ike accepted a position with Wright Farms in Dancyville, Tennessee. Not long after, Ike handled Touch’s Whiteout to victory in the 2011 National Championship.
