Interview with Butch Houston

We’re back!… after a long absence while Strideaway moved from Maine to our new home in southwest Georgia.

Last November, while photographing the open and amateur shooting dog trial held on the beautiful Shadow Oak Plantation, I took the opportunity to interview trial host, Butch Houston. Butch has been involved in field trials in many capacities — hosting and promoting them, breeding and owning some of the best-known dogs competing on the major circuit including, of course, 2013 and 2014 National Bird Dog Ch. Shadow Oak Bo and the great Ch. Joe Shadow. Thanks to Butch for sharing his views on breeding and telling us a little about some of the great dogs he has campaigned.
