Preparing Dogs to Compete in the National Championship ~ Interview with Larry Huffman
While visiting the 2013 National Championship for a few days, I took the opportunity to interview several trainers on the topic of preparing dogs for the grueling 3-hour endurance stake. Thanks to Larry Huffman, Rich Robertson, Randy Anderson and Robin Gates for generously giving me a few minutes of their time. I would also like to thank Dr. Dorwin Hawthorne who I interviewed the previous year. Dr. Hawthorne judged the National Championship for many years (see National Championship Timeline) thus offering a wonderful perspective on this unique event.
We will try to get all the interviews done and published here on Strideaway during this, the 115th running of the National Championship!

A previous interview was done with Larry Huffman’s father, Dr. Jack Huffman on his breeding program which has produced many National Champions. It can be found in Podcasts
