UKC has Officially Acquired American Field Publishing Co., and Field Dog Stud Book

On behalf of the family ownership of American Field Publishing Company and the Field Dog Stud Book, we are today sharing a final agreement has been made in the sale of the company. The American Field provides its readers and customers with the very latest news on purebred sporting dogs and field trial competition results. The Field Dog Stud Book is the oldest purebred dog registry in the United States helping dog owners with authentic documentation, registration, certified pedigrees and DNA services.
“We felt this transition was an ideal opportunity because we know UKC has the right people, the right passion, ample resources, and has the ability to bring even more visibility to this sport and format,” Bernie Matthys said on behalf of the American Field.
UKC’s dedication to the working and sporting dog for over 120 years has garnered millions of registered dogs, more than 16,000 licensed events annually, a network of 5,600 specialized event officials, and a variety of industry-leading publications, making it a leading performance dog sports organization across the world. In turn, American Field has the oldest purebred dog registry in the United States dedicated to excellence within field trial events for over 140 years. Together, the rich history, heritage and shared belief in furthering Dogs That Do More ™ will benefit the breeders, owners, handlers and dogs of the American Field and UKC communities.
